Select startups to be mentored under FICCI Mercedes-Benz innovation challenge: DPIIT

The department for promotion of industry and internal trade (DPIIT) on Friday said that under the FICCI Mercedes-Benz Bharat innovation and business ideas challenge programme, select startups will receive specialised mentoring on regulatory and legal compliance, taxation and fund utilisation.

They will also receive mentoring for fundraising, valuation fundamentals, term sheet negotiations, data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property protection.

Additionally, the selected startups will benefit from the "Sounding Board Programme", a strategic mentorship initiative designed to provide industry insights, expert guidance and leadership perspectives to help refine their business models and sharpen growth strategies.

"32 startups were shortlisted and invited to present their innovations," it said.

NTPC Renewable Energy signs solar PPA with PTC India

State-owned NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd on Friday said that it has inked a 1,200 MW solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PTC India Ltd.

The PPA was signed in the presence of Manoj Kumar Jhawar, MD & CEO (PTC) and J S Chandok, CEO (ONGPL), and other senior officials of NGEL, NTPC REL and PTC India Ltd, a company statement said.

According to the statement, the NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), has signed a PPA with PTC India for the sale of 1,200 MW of solar power under a bilateral arrangement.
