RSP lawmaker Tamang calls for fence or wall along Nepal
KATHMANDU, June 15: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Aashika Tamang has called for the construction of a wall or barbed wire fence along the Nepal–India border.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, she urged the government to conduct a factual investigation into border-related issues, saying the matter is highly sensitive and requires serious attention.
Tamang stressed that any such measure should be taken with mutual consent between the two countries. “If needed, a wall should be built with mutual agreement between the two countries, otherwise barbed wire should be installed,” she said.
