Provisional calendar confirmed for 2027 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship

The provisional calendar for the 2027 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship has been unveiled with an extended eight-round schedule that visits eight countries and three continents over a five-month period.

All rounds will feature two days of points-scoring competition with the series getting under way over the weekend of 16-18 April at Benahavis in Spain before, one week later, the world’s leading Trial riders cross the border to Portugal for round two at Viana do Castelo on 23-25 April.

With both venues featured at the beginning of the 2025 season, the majority of riders will find themselves in familiar surroundings, but for round three – the TrialGP of USA on 21-23 May – many competitors will travel to Sequatchie in Tennessee, last visited by the championship in 2013 when Spanish legend Adam Raga won both days, for the very first time.

From the USA the action shifts to the immaculate and hugely-popular Mobility Resort Motegi in Japan over the weekend of 4-6 June before the focus returns to Europe for the remainder of the series with Sant Julià de Lòria in the stunning Pyrenean principality of Andorra next up on 18-20 June.

The TrialGP of Italy is scheduled for 25-27 June at a venue brand-new to the series at Fiumalbo, located around seventy kilometres south west of Bologna in the Province of Modena, ahead of the series’ well-earned summer break.

The championship then resumes on 27-29 August with the TrialGP of Great Britain at Geddington, a venue that made its debut on the calendar in 2025, before reaching a thrilling conclusion on 17-19 September with the eighth and deciding round – the TrialGP of France – at La Bresse, most recently visited by the championship in 2012.

Trial2 competitors will join TrialGP riders at all eight rounds while TrialGP Women riders will only sit out Andorra – making the 2027 series the longest ever for the sport’s elite females – and Junior Trial3 riders will miss the USA, Japan and France. The Trial2 Women title will be decided in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Great Britain and France.

The 2027 FIM Trial des Nations will take place on 25-26 September at Cahors in France, scene of the 2026 TrialGP of France.
