PM turned politics into public service like a true ascetic: Dy CM
Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya at an event on Wednesday. Prayagraj: Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life is a shining example of dedication to public service, good governance and national interest and emphasised that the country was firmly moving towards the resolve of Viksit Bharat by 2047 under his guidance.“We take pride in working towards the resolve of a developed India by 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His leadership — spanning from his tenure as Gujarat chief minister to his role as the Prime Minister — has been highly acclaimed,” he said.Maurya was speaking at the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ event organised under ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s journey of public service. He said, guided by the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Samman’, ‘double-engine’ govt was fostering the development of all sections of society.Maurya claimed these 25 years of public service by PM Modi constitute a golden and epoch-making chapter in the history of independent India.“Like a true ascetic, PM has transformed politics into a medium for service. His visionary decisions, historic reforms and the radical changes brought about by good governance have not only shaped the present but also paved the way for a strong, self-respecting and secure future for generations to come,” Maurya said. From remote villages to global platforms, and from the welfare of the poor to elevating the economy to new heights, every decision of PM Modi has lifted the country out of the darkness of despair, Maurya said.“The very generation that once witnessed a life of deprivation, struggle and hopelessness is today brimming with confidence and laying the foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India),” he said.By integrating the exploited, the marginalised, the poor and the youth into the mainstream of development, he has replaced feelings of inferiority with the conviction that “We can achieve anything.”“This is why India’s youth currently engage confidently on global platforms, looking the world in the eye, and are taking a ‘new flight’ in the vast, open sky of opportunities. The Prime Minister has laid such a robust economic and social foundation that future generations will inherit not a legacy of struggles, but a world filled with opportunities and a strong, self-reliant India. The seeds of service, good governance, and nation-building sown with the resolve of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India) will bestow an invaluable legacy of a strong nation upon future generations, uniting them in a common bond,” said Maurya. He added that it is through the hands of this self-confident generation that the ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) of 2047 will scale its ‘golden peak’.“This is the very legacy that ensures the Prime Minister will remain etched in the nation’s collective consciousness for generations to come,” he said.BJP leaders including Phulpur MP Praveen Patel and senior leaders Vivek Mishra and Pawan Srivastava were also present on the occasion.Party workers and office-bearers also listened to the Prime Minister’s virtual address.Earlier, ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ commenced from Patthar Girja crossing, with Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya lighting the ceremonial flame.Stay updated with the latest Prayagraj news.
