Thousands of people turned out to White Rock’s waterfront on Wednesday (July 1) to celebrate Canada’s 159th birthday.
The free, family-friendly event – dubbed Canada Day by the Bay – featured welcoming remarks, live performances, a Kid’s Zone, a Vendor Row and fireworks.
Bad Medicine headlined the main stage with their tribute to Bon Jovi, while Korki the Clown was among highlights of the Kid’s Zone.
Vendor Row offered local goods, treats and artisan favourites along the promenade, and the fireworks finale lit up the night sky over Semiahmoo Bay to mark a sparkling conclusion to a fittingly lively day.
