Pedestrian injured after crash on Notre Dame
Police cadets diverted westbound Notre Dame traffic onto McPhillips after collision early Thursday morning
A pedestrian was injured and taken to hospital in unstable condition after being struck at a major Winnipeg intersection early Thursday, police said.
Police had westbound Notre Dame Avenue blocked at McPhillips Street Thursday morning as they investigated how the person was struck around midnight.
At the scene at 6:30 a.m., police cadets were diverting westbound Notre Dame traffic onto McPhillips through a back lane.
Evidence markers were seen placed in the median lane of the north side of the major street.
Officers were holding a white Kia sedan in the median lane just past the traffic lights. The lower windshield on its driver’s side was damaged.
Police said delays were expected through the morning rush hour.
No other information about the crash was available, police said.
