'Our Loves': Fox & Access Board Avi Nesher Movie From Sipur
Fox Entertainment Studios and Access Entertainment have boarded Israeli director Avi Nesher’s latest movie, about the October 7 tragedy.
Our Loves is inspired by true events and follows an ensemble of interconnected characters whose lives are forever changed. Our Loves stars Shalom Michaelshvili, Magi Azarzar, Yaniv Biton, Noa Cohen, Lena Fraifeld, Hadas Yaron, Kim or Azulay, Nunu, Lior Miller, Leib Levin and Elad Turgeman, together with newcomer, Daniel Gimpel.
Fox Entertainment Global is already shopping One Day in October, a yes TV scripted series about that tragic day, which was recently acquired by HBO Max.
The movie comes from Israel’s Sipur Studios, United King Films and Artomas Communications. Fox had been tracking since its inception, with Fernando Szew, President and Head of the Studio, providing creative input and oversight. Upon seeing an early cut of the film, the studio cemented its involvement and brought on Moriah Media, which is also involved with One Day in October. A similar process was followed by Access, led by Danny Cohen, which is also joining the film as a co-studio. Access has recently backed the likes of The Zone of Interest and Conclave.
Fox and Sipur are already working on a documentary with Fulwell Entertainment about an Iranian judo star who defied government orders and risked everything to compete against an Israeli rival.
Nesher is a storied Israeli director who has won numerous Israeli Academy Awards, with credits including Past Life, The Other Story and The Matchmaker. In 2024, his daughter Tom Nesher’s directorial debut Come Closer, which was based on the tragic death of her brother and Avi Nesher’s son Ari, represented Israel at the Oscars.
Cohen said: “Our Loves encapsulates the extraordinary creative power of Israeli cinema and storytelling. But our early conversations with Sipur made it clear that they believed this film was not simply a local production, but a cinematic work with genuine global potential.”
Sipur boss Emilio Schenker added that the “landmark partnership with industry powerhouses Fox and Access serves as a strong testament to this story’s ability to transcend borders.”
Our Loves is produced by United King Films, Sipur Studios, Artomas Communications and Access Entertainment, with United’s Moshe Edery and Leon Edery, Sipur’s Schenker and Gideon Tadmor, Artomas’s Nesher and Access’s Cohenas producers. Sipur’s Shari Redstone, Fox Entertainment Studios’ Szew and Moriah Media’s Jim Berk and Sheldon Rabinowitz are among the executive producers of the film.
