Orange Romania expands Orange Fab accelerator program with four new startups
“At Orange Fab, we’re looking for startups that develop solutions capable of addressing real challenges in business and society. We believe that innovation creates value when technology has a tangible impact, and our role is to facilitate this connection between founders, experts, customers, and partners in the ecosystem. The four startups selected for this edition address areas essential to digital transformation, such as cybersecurity, smart infrastructure, and healthcare. By providing access to Orange’s resources, expertise, and network, we aim to support them in validating their solutions, developing pilot projects, and accelerating their market adoption. These are teams that have demonstrated not only the capacity for innovation, but also the potential to transform emerging technologies into solutions with real value for organizations and users,” said Ana Ciobanu, Startup Programs Manager.
The four startups were selected for their ability to address current challenges in strategic areas such as cybersecurity, advanced connectivity, smart infrastructure, and digital services with social impact.
The startups included in the program represent the new generation of technological innovation—artificial intelligence, 5G connectivity, automation, digital security, and technologies with social impact. In addition, BraveX Aero and Solomonar bring valuable expertise in the field of autonomous systems and drone-based technologies, a sector undergoing rapid growth across Europe. The solutions developed by the two companies highlight the potential of dual-use technologies, with applications that can contribute both to streamlining civilian operations and to increasing the resilience of infrastructure and monitoring capabilities in areas of economic and strategic importance.
They will receive mentoring from Orange experts to help them develop their products and strengthen their business models, as well as support in applying for research and innovation grants and assistance in implementing pilot projects. At the same time, they have access to the Orange 5G Lab infrastructure, where they can test and optimize solutions based on 5G, IoT, and AI technologies using state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.
The acceleration program has been active in Romania for 9 years and is aimed at both mature startups with launched products and scalable business models, as well as early-stage companies that need validation, testing, and support for product development.
