OPP investigating plane crash near Fergus Friday morning
Police are investigating after a plane crash just outside of Fergus, Ont., on Friday.
Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the small general aviation aircraft crashed at approximately 10:15 a.m. near the intersection of Beatty Line and Wellington Road 1.
OPP says the plane crashed into a field and caught on fire.
The extent of injuries is unknown.
On Friday, police said Transport Canada has been notified.
Motorists are being asked to avoid driving through the area while police continue to investigate.
