The Uttar Pradesh Police are investigating the financial assets of 22-year-old Anukalp Mishra, one of the accused in the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case, to determine whether his wealth is disproportionate to his known income. Investigators are scrutinising documents related to a house in Ayodhya, a newly built farmhouse, a motorcycle, and a recently booked Mahindra Scorpio, along with bank records, property papers and financial transactions. Police are also preparing to examine the assets of the other accused to establish the money trail. Meanwhile, despite the ongoing controversy, donations at the Ram Temple have reportedly increased significantly. According to banking and temple-linked sources, daily deposits have nearly doubled to around Rs 20-24 lakh, indicating that devotees' faith and contributions remain strong amid the allegations.
