New warnings on cigarette packages
Cigarette packaging is soon to get a makeover across Canada. As of August 1st, 13 new images will be required to be placed on all cigarette packs sold throughout the country and a warning some of the images are graphic in nature. Joining us with more on the potential effectiveness of these new labels is Geoffrey Fong, professor of psychology and public health sciences at the University of Waterloo and the founder of the International Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Project.
