NC AI will use the generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform to cultivate young talent in games and contents.
Multi-modal AI company NCAI announced on the 22nd that it will participate in the 'K-New Deal Academy', a government-led youth job training project.
The K-New Deal Academy is a youth job training project promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and overseen by the Korea Vocational Competency Research Institute. Among them, NCAI operates a curriculum specializing in game and AI content production jobs.
In the first phase, which will begin in July, a total of 150 people will be selected from three regional bases: 60 from Busan and Daejeon, and 30 from Gwangju. Training will be held for 500 hours and will be free of charge. Unemployed young people aged 15 to 34 can apply regardless of their major or coding experience.
NCAI's Generative AI platform "VARCO" is used in the curriculum. The company plans to provide all trainees with the Barco product line free of charge, and to practice the process of creating and developing assets necessary for game production and completing the results. The "Vive Coding" method, which generates code based on natural language, is also included in education to lower barriers to entry for non-majors.
In addition to job training, the curriculum includes communication with incumbent, organizational culture experience, and teamwork enhancement programs. NCAI will make up about 25% of the total curriculum with organizational adaptation and social entry support programs.
It also supports portfolio production so that educational outcomes can be used in actual job preparation. The graduates will produce game results, technical documents, and game trailer videos that can be distributed on platforms such as itch.io and Google Play.
After completion, you can also participate in subsequent creative support programs operated by NCAI, such as the VARCO contest K-New Deal Special Exhibition, the VARCO game AI game production support program, and the VARCO artist and creator system.
Lee Yeon-soo, CEO of NC AI, said, "Based on our experience in developing AI and applying it to game and content production sites, we will provide an educational environment where non-majors and long-term unemployed young people can use Generative AI to create content," adding, "We will establish a support system to lead to employment and creative activities even after completion of the education."
