Murder arrest after man stabbed to death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was stabbed in Sutton Coldfield, in the West Midlands.

Police said they were called to Chester Road shortly after midnight where they found the victim, a man in his 30s, who died at the scene.

West Midlands Police said a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody while inquiries continue.

A police spokesperson added: "We are currently not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and it is thought the suspect and victim were known to each other."

Officers are remaining at the scene to investigate and gather evidence.

The force is keen to hear from anyone who was in the area last night and might know more about what happened.
