Minister of SMEs and Startups Award Granted to Selected Companies

The MainBiz Association (Korea Management Innovation Association of SMEs) announced on August 26, 2026 that it had finalized the selection of eight companies as winners of the 2026 Small and Medium Business Management Innovation Award.

The selected companies will receive the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award. Launched in 2018, the Small and Medium Business Management Innovation Award is a competition designed to discover small and medium-sized enterprises with innovative management practices and outstanding technological capabilities. This year, companies were evaluated comprehensively on innovation, growth potential, and market competitiveness to select outstanding businesses.

This year's award-winning companies are SB Sunbo, JP Innovation, Hanjoong NCS, Klavi, Pharmavision, Metatoon, Shinbi Bio, and STN. They have demonstrated differentiated competitiveness and high growth potential in future-oriented industries such as generative AI, carbon capture (CCUS), semiconductor equipment, ESS, bio and healthcare, content IP, and smart cities.

The association plans to run a follow-up support program to help the winning companies attract investment and expand their sales channels during the 2026 Small and Medium Business Innovation Week (K-INNO WEEK), which will take place on November 19, 2026.

Myungjin Kim, president of the MainBiz Association, stated, "The core of the Management Innovation Award is not simply to discover and honor outstanding companies, but to help innovation-driven businesses achieve further growth by connecting them to investment and markets." He added, "Through Innovation Week, we will form an innovation ecosystem that brings together investors, customer companies, and public institutions, and actively support the scaling up of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises."
