LYB and exoIQ collaborate on material solutions for industrial wearable exoskeletons
ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Oct. 7, 2026 — LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) and exoIQ are collaborating on advanced material solutions for exoIQ’s B900 active back exoskeleton, a wearable system that supports users during physically demanding activities.
Drawing on capabilities from its Advanced Polymer Solutions and Olefins and Polyolefins businesses, LYB provides an integrated portfolio of materials for the application. Glass fiber-reinforced polyamide delivers mechanical strength and dimensional stability, polypropylene supports impact resistance, processability and lightweight design and masterbatch solutions provide consistent color and appearance.

The B900 active back exoskeleton provides support during physically demanding activities such as lifting, carrying and working in a forward-leaning position. By helping reduce physical strain and effort, the wearable solution can make demanding everyday tasks more manageable for workers in logistics, production and skilled trades.
