King Abdullah II Fund for Development launches "Modern Technology Horizons" Project
Amman, Aug. 23 (Petra) –King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) launched the "Modern Technology Horizons Project," aimed at building capacities of Jordanian youth and professionals working in modern technology fields.
Implemented in partnership with with the Consultation and Training Center at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, this activity would provide the necessary skills to keep pace with rapid technological advances and enhance their readiness to join the job market.
In a statement Sunday, KAFD Director General, Dr. Samer Al-Mofleh, stated the project reflects the fund's commitment to investing in Jordanian talent and aligns with goals of the Economic Modernization Vision, which focus on boosting human capital development, enhancing digital skills, and aligning education and training outcomes with labor market needs.
Al-Mofleh said this step is achieved by providing "high-quality" training programs that keep pace with rapid developments in modern technology and prepare qualified workers with the required skills to join the job market.
The project aims to develop the beneficiaries' skills in several modern technology fields under ad hoc practical training programs.
KAFD said this process will enable the beneficiaries gain hands-on experience and earn accredited professional certifications, which would enhance their readiness to enter high-demand technology sectors.
The fund invites interested applicants to submit their applications online through its platform, https://join.kafd.jo/, complete the application form and attach the required documents.
On eligibility criteria, applicants must be Jordanian citizens, aging 21-30 years old, and hold at least a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field or have professional experience in the training program area. Aplicants must also be fullly committed to all the project's stages.
