Jones responds after Patoka concedes
Days after the Primary Election, Julian Jones emerged as the Democratic nominee for Baltimore County executive to face off against Republican Patrick Dyer. Five candidates ran in the Democratic Primary as three councilmen — Jones, Izzy Patoka and Pat Young — sought a promotion, while county government employee Mansoor Shams and business attorney Nick Stewart made bids to break through. WBAL-TV 11 News has learned that Patoka reached out to Jones Saturday night to concede the race and that Jones plans to hold a news conference at 3 p.m. Monday.
