John Vickrey letter: Two major concerns America should have

There are many concerns as our country is turning into a fascist state. Two concerns, among many, are worth worrying about.

The first concern is data centers. The environmental concerns, such as the massive use of natural resources like water, are a very big concern that comes to mind.

However, we must also worry about the goal of surveillance and the expansion of artificial intelligence by our tech oligarchs. These giants want an AI-dominated world, replacing humans as a means of production. Data centers are all about expanding AI utilization.

Tied to this concern is the other concern. Our military industrial complex is the biggest polluter in the world. Massive amounts of petroleum are used in these stupid wars. Of course, the tech industry and military contractors such as Lockheed Martin will make billions off of these wars, so the mass pollution will continue.

We can make a difference by supporting democratic socialists, instead of bought Democrats and Republicans. We can also boycott certain tech companies by not buying their products. We can stop supporting candidates who are getting money from these military contractors and tech companies.
