Jesper Brøndum, Boozt co-founder and Group CTO, joins the EU-Startups Summit 2027

We’re excited to announce that Jesper Brøndum, co-founder and Group CTO of Boozt, will join us at the EU-Startups Summit 2027, taking place on May 13-14 in sunny Malta! Jesper will deliver a keynote titled Intrapreneurial Insights from Boozt: How to scale in-house tech teams, own all data and be uniquely positioned for the AI era.

Jesper has spent more than 15 years building the technological backbone behind one of the Nordics’ leading e-commerce companies.

Since joining Boozt as its first technical specialist in 2010, he has built the company’s technology organisation from the ground up and overseen the development of a deeply integrated, proprietary platform covering everything from web and mobile commerce to payments, finance, customer service, fulfilment and warehouse operations.

Jesper brings a strong academic and technical background to his role at Boozt. He holds a PhD in Multivariate Data Processing from the University of Copenhagen as well as a Master of Science from Aalborg University. Before joining Boozt, he worked as a Principal at Netcompany.

He joined Boozt at an early stage in 2010 and has been responsible for technology and engineering as the company grew from a startup into a listed Nordic e-commerce business.

The company has grown from its Nordic startup roots into a business serving customers across 14 European markets, with more than 1,100 employees. In 2025, Boozt generated approximately €733 million (SEK 8.29 billion) in revenue, while Boozt.com had a base of more than 3.5 million active customers.

Rather than relying heavily on third-party software, Boozt made an early strategic decision to develop much of its infrastructure itself.

That approach has resulted in an interconnected ecosystem of proprietary systems supporting both the customer-facing shopping experience and Boozt’s internal operations. The platform spans webstores and apps as well as product management, customer service, financial services, warehouse management and other business-critical functions.

Jesper has also helped expand Boozt’s engineering capabilities geographically. In 2021, the company acquired its long-standing Lithuanian technology partner Estina. This was Boozt’s second acquisition in as many years, as in 2019 app developer Touchlogic was brought onboard to strengthen app and mobile web development.

Today, he regularly speaks about technology leadership, AI, platform strategy and building high-performing in-house engineering organisations, drawing on more than a decade of experience scaling technology alongside a rapidly evolving e-commerce business.

On May 13-14, 2027, we’ll be bringing the European startup ecosystem together once again for the EU-Startups Summit in sunny Malta. We’re expecting around 2,500 founders, investors, startup enthusiasts, and ecosystem players for two packed days of networking, inspiration, and learning.
