Japan to tap industrial machinery for collecting physical AI data

TOKYO -- The Japanese government and leading machinery makers will work together to collect data for machine learning geared toward physical AI applications such as autonomous robots, Nikkei has learned, assigning individual IDs to factory equipment as a way to gather information across manufacturers.
