Information technology stocks with the strongest dividend growth grades
Information technology stocks remain a major driver of market performance, with artificial intelligence, semiconductors, cloud computing and data-center investment continuing to shape investor interest across the sector.
As technology companies mature and generate increasing amounts of cash, dividend growth has also become a factor for investors assessing shareholder returns alongside earnings growth and capital appreciation.
Dividend growth is particularly notable in the technology sector, where established companies and semiconductor businesses have increasingly returned cash to shareholders while continuing to invest heavily in new technologies and capacity.
A consistent record of dividend increases can provide an additional measure of a company's approach to capital allocation, although future payouts remain dependent on earnings, free cash flow and investment requirements.
Against this backdrop, the following screen ranks the top 14 information technology stocks by Dividend Growth Grade, based on quantitative measures. The list is heavily concentrated in the semiconductor industry, with chipmakers and semiconductor-equipment companies accounting for much of the ranking, alongside major technology companies and software businesses.
Apple AAPL, Applied Materials AMAT, Broadcom AVGO, KLA KLAC, and Lam Research LRCX lead the list, with all five carrying the highest possible A+ Dividend Growth Grade.
The same A+ grade extends across the entire screen, with Monolithic Power Systems MPWR, Microsoft MSFT, Micron Technology MU, Nvidia NVDA, Teradyne TER, Texas Instruments TXN, Ubiquiti UI, VeriSign VRSN, and Western Digital WDC also receiving A+ grades.
The Dividend Growth Grade is part of Seeking Alpha's broader dividend scoring system and evaluates the consistency and magnitude of a company's dividend increases. Grades range from A+ to F, with A+ representing the highest possible grade. Under Seeking Alpha's framework, a B- or higher grade is considered a Buy, while a D+ or lower grade is considered a Sell.
