Heavy rain eases fire concerns in Northwestern Ontario
Heavy rain in some parts of Northwestern Ontario is easing some fire concerns after deadly wildfires produced smoke across eastern North America. In Upsala, 100 kilometers northwest of Thunder Bay, local volunteer firefighters are taking the lead. But as Vasilios Bellos reports, there's concern amongst residents that the Ontario government hasn't stepped up to support firefighting efforts and the lack of attention is surprising after several serious consecutive fire seasons.
