Ottawa, Kingston, Gatineau could see temperatures drop to near freezing overnight Monday
Swathes of central and eastern Ontario, as well as parts of western Quebec, are in for a chilly Monday night.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow advisory for frost overnight that will continue into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The advisory covers most communities along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River including Kingston and Cornwall. It also includes the Greater Toronto Area and stretches as far west as London.
Temperatures could drop to near or below freezing, posing a risk of damage to plants, trees and crops, the agency said.
