Fire crews tackling blaze at nature reserve
Eight fire crews are tackling a blaze at a nature reserve near Walsall and Birmingham.
West Midlands Fire Service said it was called to a large grassland fire at Barr Beacon, Great Barr, on Sunday afternoon.
Beacon Road has been closed in both directions from B4151 Beacon Hill to Bridle Lane.
The fire service is urging residents to keep windows and doors closed and to avoid the area where possible.
West Midlands Fire Service confirmed it was not the only fire it was attending, after fire crews were called to two other fires in the West Midlands area earlier.
A grassland fire broke out in Kingfisher Park in Hay Mills, and six crews attended another fire on Perry Avenue, Birmingham.
