Bonnie Tyler is making her final trek home more than a month after the singer died at 75.

The coffin of the Grammy-nominated musician, born Gaynor Sullivan, was transported through Swansea, Wales, in a hearse from a funeral home in Mumbles to her home in Llwynderw on Saturday, Aug. 15. Fans paid their respects as the procession made its way through the streets, tossing flowers on the black car as it slowly made its way through the crowds.

A Welsh flag was draped over her coffin, with a large floral arrangement sitting on top. A framed black-and-white portrait of the singer, taken earlier in her career, could also be seen through one of the car's windows.

Tyler's homecoming took place more than three weeks after the "Holding Out for a Hero" singer died "unexpectedly" on July 8 at a Portuguese hospital where she was treated for an illness.

In May, Tyler was admitted to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, for emergency intestinal surgery. She spent a month in an induced coma before waking "very unwell" in June, her representative told USA TODAY at the time. She was in intensive care weeks prior to her death.

Tyler's celebration of life will be livestreamed at 12 p.m. local time on Monday, Aug. 17. Only family, friends and invitees will be allowed into the Swansea Minster church, while members of the public will be able to watch the service at St. David's Square.
