Edmonton mother says husband is suffering in Gaza
Three years into the Gaza war, Canadians with ties to the Middle East say they've endured deep pain and worry for their relatives. Edmonton resident Salomy Abusalim says her husband Saed is stuck in Gaza, and often struggles to find even a piece of bread to eat. Abusalim says her son threatened a hunger strike in frustration over his father not being able to leave Gaza, and she has now taken that on herself. (Oct. 7, 2026)
