Crash causes long delays and partial closure on M1
Two lanes of the M1 have been closed following a crash which caused a diesel spillage.
The road is partially shut after an accident on the southbound carriageway between junction 17 for the M45 Dunchurch/Coventry and junction 16 for the A45 Daventry.
Two of four lanes remain closed after a full closure was in place between 05:15 and 06:05 BST.
There are three miles of congestion and delays of up to 30 minutes.
Clean up crews are on site, National Highways said.
It comes just hours after the road reopened following the northbound carriageway's closure for more than 24 hours on Wednesday.
