Clere Golf introduces new course

Clere Golf has introduced two new developments across its digital course-management products, adding new ways for clubs to communicate course information and making daily pin management easier.

Map Share is a new Golf Hub feature that allows clubs to share selected course information with members, visitors and the wider public through a simple web link.

Clubs choose which GeoRecords they want to publish and present them on an interactive course map. Those viewing the information do not need access to Golf Hub, while the club remains in control of exactly what is made public.

The feature can be used to communicate winter work programmes, planned course changes, temporary access arrangements, public footpaths, health and safety notices and ecology projects. Updates can be linked directly to the relevant area of the course, giving people a clearer view of what is happening and where.

“Members see the course every week, but they do not always see the reasons behind the work taking place,” said Steve Richardson, Managing Director of Clere Golf. “Map Share gives clubs a straightforward way to explain what is happening, where and why, without requiring members or visitors to log into another system.”

Clere Golf has also updated PinZone, its dedicated pin-position platform used by golf clubs and tournament teams. The current pin sheet is now placed front and centre, with the front and back nines more clearly separated. A new calendar also makes it easier for course teams to review previous pin sheets and prepare future pin locations.

The update retains PinZone’s established functionality. Teams can place pins using GPS, use green-slope data and Exclusion Zones when selecting locations, and distribute current pin information through printed sheets or the player app.

Clere Golf Technical Director Gareth Grewcock added: “We spend a lot of time talking to the people who use these products every day. They tell us what works, what slows them down and what would make the job easier. Map Share and the changes to PinZone have both come out of those conversations.”

Golf Hub provides clubs with a central place to record, manage and view course information against a precise digital map. PinZone is available as a dedicated product and is also used in tournament environments where accurate, up-to-date pin information is essential.

Clere Golf supports more than 2,000 golf clubs worldwide, with its technology and course information also used at events staged by The R&A, the Ryder Cup, the DP World Tour and LIV Golf.

Map Share has rolled out to Golf Hub users, while the updated PinZone is available to existing subscribers.
