Are you just as shocked as I am that we’re in November and starting to plan for the holidays? This year flew by like a rocket! Whether reluctantly or enthusiastically, it’s time to start planning for the holidays! Toronto always has a lot of exciting events taking place during November and December! I’ve rounded up several popular Toronto Christmas events for 2025 so you can add them to your calendar. For ticketed events, it’s a good time to book them now to avoid disappointment. The Distillery Winter Village 2025

One of my favourite Toronto Christmas events is The Distillery Winter Village at the Distillery District. Entering this holiday market will make you feel like you’ve been transported to Christmases of long ago. The Christmas market takes place from Thursday, November 13, 2025 to Sunday, January 4, 2026. One of the most popular Christmas craft shows in Toronto, this holiday market is based on a European-styled street market with vendors selling artisan gifts, stocking stuffers and gourmet treats for Christmas. Be sure to take a selfie in front of the majestic Christmas tree; the Candy Cane Wreath; and The Heart of Christmas display! You can also enjoy listening to The McGregor Carollers who will be roaming throughout the district, and enjoy festive drinks on the licenced patios and at the outdoor bars. Be sure to visit Santa at Santa’s Village located in the atrium of Soulpepper Theatre. The Distillery District’s 55-foot silver fir Christmas tree direct from Drysdale’s Tree Farm will be lit on opening night: Thursday, November 13, 2024. The Tenors will also perform on opening night. Other performances include Toronto Mendelssohn Choir on November 30, 2025 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Canadian Opera Company on December 5, 2025 at 7 p.m. and December 6, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. (family-oriented show).

General Admission is $18.65 (includes tax and fees); Kids 9 and under Free. Purchase tickets online. Keep in mind that The Distillery Winter Village is one of the most popular Christmas events in Toronto 2025.

Festive Nights at Black Creek Pioneer Village 2025

Black Creek Pioneer Village is hosting Festive Nights, a family-friendly holiday event in Toronto, on December 6, 13, and 20, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The village will be decorated for Christmas and feature twinkling lights, cozy fires, and rustic oil lamps.

Sample roasted chestnuts, gingerbread cookies and peppermint hot chocolate while listening to a traditional holiday story. Join in a festive country dance accompanied by live music. Don’t forget to meet with Santa at Santa’s Cottage.

Tickets are Adults (18+) $38.05 plus HST; Youth (ages 4-17) $29.95

Winter Glow at Sankofa Square 2025

Winter Glow returns to Sankofa Square from December 11-21, 2025. This free holiday celebration is presented in partnership with Astro Amusements, Epilepsy Toronto & The Thornton-Smith Corporation. Opening night is Thursday, December 11, 2025 with festivities kicking off at 5 p.m. including a performance by My Pop Choir. Enjoy Ferris wheel and carousel rides (cost is $6 a ticket), shop for artisan gifts at the Holiday Market, enjoy holiday drinks at the licensed Polar Point Bar and have your photo taken with Santa. From December 11-14, 2025, the SHEIN Box Santa will be offering over 6,000 free gifts. Snap a photo with SHEIN’s Box Santa, post it with #SHEINboxsanta and show your post to Santa’s helpers to receive a surprise gift.

Winter Glow hours are Weekdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Weekends from 12 noon to 10 p.m.

Produced by Knightfight Theatre in partnership with The Assembly Theatre, Invasion: Christmas Carol is being performed from December 2-14, 2025. This holiday show features actors performing Dickens’s holiday classic until a surprise guest “Invader” from Toronto’s comedy scene crashes the play and forces Scrooge and company to improvise their way through the remainder.

For me, the holiday season officially kicks off on Sunday, November 23, 2025 with the Santa Claus Parade. See amazing floats, marching bands performing holiday favourites, Celebrity Clowns and of course, Mrs. Claus and Santa! More than 500,000 people attend this popular parade each year so you should plan to arrive by 11:30 a.m. to get a good viewing spot – the parade starts at 12:30 p.m. If you prefer watching from the warmth of your living room, you can stream the Santa Claus Parade 2025 live on YouTube.

Soup Can Theatre’s A Christmas Carol 2025

Now in its eighth year, Soup Can Theatre’s acclaimed performance of A Christmas Carol will be staged in Toronto’s Campbell House Museum. The Charles Dickens classic tells the story of miser Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve who urge him to change his stingy ways.

Due to the immersive and mobile nature of this production, audience members will be required to stand for a significant portion of the 95 minute performance, navigate stairs on several occasions, and will, at times, be close in close proximity to other audience members. A very limited number of seats can be reserved for patrons unable to stand for extended periods of time. Performances run on December 7, 10-14, 17-22, 2025 and January 2-6, 2026. Performance times are Weeknights and Saturdays at 6:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.; Sundays at 4:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Tickets are Adult $65-$70; Child/Student/Senior/Arts Worker $55-$60.

Candlelight Christmas Concerts 2025

See the Candlelight Christmas Special featuring “The Nutcracker” at Evergreen Brick Works on Friday, December 19, 2025 and Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. The holiday music will be performed by the Listeso Music Group that includes two violins, viola, cello, piano and a vocalist. The group will also perform holiday classics such as “O Holy Night”, “The Snow is Dancing”, “The Skaters Waltz” and “Greensleeves”.

Robin Hood: A Very Merry Family Musical

Tickets are $65, $80, $99, $129, $135, and $159, and can be purchased online or at the Box Office. The Winter Garden Theatre is located at 189 Yonge Street.

Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Hotel X Toronto 2025

Bring your kids to enjoy Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Hotel X Toronto! The breakfast will include an interactive experience with Santa and Mrs. Claus, including a storytelling session from Santa himself! Mrs. Claus will be supervising a face painting session. Be sure to take some festive selfies! Kids can write their Christmas list in a letter to Santa and share it with him.

Holiday Magic at Bloor Yorkville 2025

Enjoy a free holiday concert on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the annual Holiday Magic concert and lighting ceremony in Bloor-Yorkville! Watch JUNO Fan Choice Award nominee Shawn Hook perform on stage, with an opening performance by STORRY, The Voice UK 2024 finalist. Rick Campanelli will host the event. Stay for the “Flick the Switch” countdown where the Village of Yorkville Park and Bloor Street will be lit up for the holiday season. Holiday Magic is free and open to all ages and in support of Second Harvest.

Second City Toronto Rudolph Runs Wild 2025

Second City Toronto is performing a family-friendly holiday show, Rudolph Runs Wild. Suitable for kids, parents and grandparents, the improv comedy show will feature festive songs and sketches in an interactive theatrical experience.

Performances begin Saturday, November 29, 2025 and run to Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Small bites and a selection of drinks and craft beer are available for purchase.

Tickets are $30-$48 can be purchased online or at the Box Office. Rudolph Runs Wild is being performed at the Mainstage.

We Love Willowdale Christmas 2025

Breakfast with Santa at Ripley’s Aquarium 2025

Enjoy Breakfast with Santa at Ripley’s Aquarium on November 22, 29 and December 6, 2025. Explore the aquarium, then enjoy a delicious breakfast, and take a photo with Santa. Breakfast includes waffles, bacon, vegan breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, toast, mini muffins, muffins, mini croissant, quiche, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and hot cocoa.

Breakfast seatings: 1) 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; or 2) 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Suitable for children 3 and up; adult must be accompanied by a child.
