Canada’s Gordie Howe bridge opening catches Trump’s attention

In the Canadian border city of Windsor, Ont., what was supposed to be a celebration of Canada-U.S. trade talks, is instead highlighting how much that relationship has soured. After eight years of construction and $6.5 billion, the Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Windsor with Detroit was officially unveiled with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the Canadian side of the border today, but American dignitaries were disinvited after Donald Trump's latest tariff threat.
