Canada Malting plant facade to be dismantled, Sud
The Sud-Ouest borough has approved the partial demolition of the Canada Malting plant following a recent engineer’s report that found the St-Henri landmark is at risk of collapsing.
The part to be taken down is the nine-storey brick facade facing St-Ambroise St.
The borough closed the section of the street two weeks ago while it sought a second opinion on the report, which was commissioned by the site’s owners.
