Canada IRCC Processing Times Updated in May 2026

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently updated the processing time for various permanent residency and citizenship applications. Processing times for both Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Program applications increased by one month in the latest IRCC update.

During the same period, the Canadian Experience Class inventory grew by more than 6,000 applicants, while the base PNP backlog increased by over 2,000 applications.
