Canada invites 1,000 Canadian Experience Class candidates to apply for permanent residence

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued more invitations to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system.

The immigration department issued 1,000 ITAs in a draw for Canadian Experience Class candidates.

The most recent Express Entry draw brings IRCC’s year-to-date total to 48 selection rounds.

This latest draw features the lowest number of invitations in a single CEC draw seen in 2026, as well as the highest cutoff score—by a solid five points.

Canada has largely focused its 2026 Express Entry invitations on candidates already established in the country, including provincial nominees and individuals with Canadian work experience.
