Canada committed genocide, Permanent Peoples' Tribunal says
Canada committed genocide against Indigenous Peoples, according to a ruling by the Permanent Peoples' Tribunal. The international body delivered its findings following hearings in Montreal this week examining the legacy of Canada's residential school system.
