Calgary massage therapist charged with sex offences
Police have arrested a massage therapist accused of committing sex crimes against clients at a clinic in Glendale.
After alerting the public about an incident in August 2025 involving non-consensual touching at Kinesio Massage Therapy, 3949 17th Ave. S.W., four additional victims made themselves known to investigators, the Calgary Police Service said in a news release Friday.
Officers raided the clinic on Oct. 1 after being granted a search warrant, police said. One person was arrested and a cellphone was seized for forensic analysis.
Yuriy Zhivov, 53, was charged with four counts of sexual assault relating to the recent arrest. He is to appear in court on Dec. 9.
He was previously arrested and charged in connection with an alleged incident in August 2025.
Police also took the opportunity to offer a reminder about the absence of a time limit in Canada to report a sexual assault.
"Anyone who believes they are a victim of sexual assault is encouraged to report it, even if many years have passed since the incident," police said.
