Bernard Beya appointed CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies DRC

Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a business of Cassava Technologies, has appointed Bernard Beya as Chief Executive Officer for its operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), effective 1 April 2026.

Cassava Technologies operates in more than 40 markets across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Through Liquid Intelligent Technologies, the group has built one of Africa’s largest digital infrastructure networks, spanning more than 116,000 km of fibre and satellite connectivity. The company also delivers cloud, cybersecurity and AI-enabled digital solutions to enterprises, SMEs and public sector organisations across the continent.

Announcing the appointment, Sutha Siva, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer at Cassava Technologies, said the DRC represents one of the company’s most significant growth markets.

“The DRC represents one of the most exciting growth opportunities in our region, and Bernard’s appointment comes at an important moment in our journey. His deep understanding of the local market, combined with his commitment to customer success and operational excellence, will help accelerate our ambitions to expand digital infrastructure and enable greater economic growth across the country,” said Siva.

Beya brings more than 20 years of telecommunications leadership experience, including extensive expertise in the Congolese market. He joined Liquid in September 2022 as Chief Financial Officer before being appointed Acting CEO in November 2025, where he oversaw the company’s strategic, operational and commercial direction.

“I am honoured to lead Liquid DRC’s next phase of growth. Our priority is to build on the strong operational and financial foundation we have established to deliver greater value for our customers and partners. As a business of Cassava Technologies, we can expand access to reliable connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, colocation and AI computing services. We can play a meaningful role in accelerating digital transformation for the country’s enterprises, government and communities,” said Beya.

The appointment comes as the DRC continues to accelerate its national digital transformation agenda through investments in digital infrastructure, connectivity and digital skills. Liquid says it is well positioned to support these ambitions by expanding access to advanced digital services that enable economic growth and greater digital inclusion.

With Beya at the helm, the company aims to strengthen its position as a leading provider of digital infrastructure and technology solutions in the DRC, helping businesses and public institutions harness connectivity, cloud and AI technologies to drive innovation and long-term development.
