AVEVA Showcases AI

Global industrial software company AVEVA held AVEVA Day Korea 2026 at The Westin Seoul Parnas in Seoul's Gangnam District on July 2. Held under the theme "Accelerate Your Industrial Intelligence," the event showcased AI- and digital twin-based industrial innovation strategies along with real-world deployment cases.

In his keynote address, Chris Lee, senior vice president and head of Asia Pacific at AVEVA, discussed the impact of industrial intelligence on operational decision-making and future industry trends. Janardhan Shenoy, director of presales, presented industrial transformation case studies leveraging AI and digital twin technologies, as well as AVEVA's latest technology vision. Kim Dae-sik, a professor at KAIST, also delivered a special presentation on "AGI Market Dominance," examining how advances in artificial intelligence are reshaping industry and business.

The afternoon breakout sessions were organized into four tracks: Design & Build Smarter, Operate Safer, Optimize Faster, and Marine Lifecycle Smarter.

The engineering track featured Samsung C&T's simulation case study for renewable energy-based green hydrogen and ammonia projects, an advanced session on AVEVA Unified Engineering, integrated project execution strategies, and approaches to project handover based on asset lifecycle management and data validation.

The operations track covered energy optimization strategies using the PI System industrial real-time data management platform, methods for building AI-powered industrial data platforms, Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Process Safety Advisor, and the roadmap for AVEVA Operations Control, the company's next-generation integrated operations platform.

The optimization track highlighted Samyang Group's production optimization case using an AI-based advanced planning and scheduling (APS) system, process simulation strategies for AI transformation, and SK Energy's utility optimization initiatives. The marine track introduced AVEVA's next-generation marine platform, AI-based design optimization technologies, process simulation for low-carbon vessel energy systems, a domestic pilot project for digital LNG ship operations, and operational optimization strategies that extend smart factory concepts to smart ships and ports.
