Encomara has begun trials of its Squid connection system for floating wind turbines at Scotland's Ardersier port. The 40-ton unit supports pre-installed moorings and cables, potentially reducing LCoE by 15%. Trials finish this month, targeting TRL 8, with ABS accreditation already secured in June.
