Any alliance possible in politics: TTV
AMMK chief TTV Dhinakaran, addressing media persons in Madurai on Saturday. Madurai: If it is acceptable for parties elected under DMK alliance to switch sides, extend support (to another coalition), join it and hold ministerial posts, then any alliance arrangement should be seen as valid, AMMK chief T T V Dhinakaran said in Madurai on Saturday. He was responding to queries from reporters on the possibility of DMK and AIADMK coming together. Citing the past alliance between Anna and Rajaji as example, Dhinakaran said political circumstances could bring any parties together. “There are many such precedents,” he said.On the Karur stampede which was raked up by the chief minister on Friday, TTV asked what action had Vijay taken against police officers responsible, now that he is in charge of the police department. “The CBI inquiry will reveal whether everything the CM says is true. But I think it would not be right to blame anyone. We are confident that whoever was responsible for the Karur tragedy will be brought to justice and Supreme Court will give them appropriate punishment,” he said.On govt providing jobs to family members of those who died in the Karur stampede, he reiterated that govt is setting a wrong precedent. On CMs speaking more in public, he said chief ministers in the past have realized the responsibility of the office and acted in the public arena. “I think it will be good if CM Vijay also followed that. He is still a film actor; that is the problem, if you call it ‘film glamour,’ he gets very upset and angry,” he added.About MDMK chief Vaiko saying he would act as a shield for Vijay, Dhinakaran said Vaiko had previously said he would be a shield for Karunanidhi, J Jayalalithaa, and M K Stalin. “Now he says the same for CM Vijay. His stance remains the same, only the individuals change,” he added. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Madurai | Silver Rate in Madurai | Bank Holidays in Madurai | Public Holidays in Madurai | Madurai AQI | Weather in Madurai | Petrol Price in Madurai | Diesel Price in Madurai | CNG Price in Madurai | LPG Price in MaduraiStay updated with the latest Madurai news.
