Police got reports of a man was taking inappropriate photos of women
A man who allegedly took inappropriate photos of women without their consent at a University of Saskatchewan convocation ceremony has been charged with voyeurism.
In a notification sent to students, the university said a man was arrested Thursday at Merlis Belsher Place.
In a news release, Saskatoon police said they were contacted by multiple people shortly before noon CST.
Police said that when officers arrived, U of S Protective Services, the campus law enforcement and security agency, was detaining a man matching the suspect's description.
The man, 45, was arrested and is charged with voyeurism.
In the notice to students, the university said there are supports available if students need them.
It also said Protective Services is available 24/7 to escort students to their parked vehicle or another location on campus.
