Ottawa's Alanis Morissette has been chosen to perform Canada's national anthem at Friday's opening ceremony before the first 2026 World Cup match at Toronto Stadium (BMO Field), which will see the Canadian team playing Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The pre-match ceremony starts at 1:30 p.m. (TSN) before the 3 p.m. game, the first of six that Toronto is hosting.
