AI platform FndrOS wants to keep startup founders organised
The platform combines business planning with customer research, financial modelling, fundraising preparation and progress tracking on a single deck, so founders to juggle with multiple spreadsheets, documents, emails and presentation decks.
Gourley said the AI gathers data about a startup’s stage, previous decisions and supporting evidence to identify gaps, prepare draft materials and suggest what needs attention next.
“Founders don’t generally suffer from a shortage of information,” he said.
“They have access to more templates, advisers, accelerators, courses and AI tools than ever before.”
The problem, he argues, is working out which assumptions still need testing, what information has already been collected and what an investor or adviser needs to see next.
FndrOS keeps an ongoing record of those decisions and activities, making it easier for founders with a million things in their head to track progress and pick up earlier work without losing its context.
The platform also targets a gap after accelerator programs finish, retaining a founder’s strategy, research and operating history, while program managers can use it to track milestones, mentoring and progress.
“Accelerators can provide exceptional mentoring, education, networks and momentum, but a founder can still leave Demo Day with a folder full of documents and no connected system for actually operating the venture,” Gourley said.
Mentors can use the record to see what has happened since a previous meeting.
The AI doesn’t make business decisions, instead analysing information, drafting material and recommending actions. Gourley says founder and research data is not used to train AI models.
For researchers seeking to bring their work to market, the platform offers structured pathways covering intellectual property, customer demand, regulatory considerations and funding.
Gourley said FndrOS is aimed at startups before they establish a more developed set of business systems.
