2 dead in crash east of Lumsden Saturday night

Two people are dead after a crash east of Lumsden, Sask., on Highway 11.

Lumsden Fire responded to the collision at around 9 p.m. Saturday. They found one vehicle in the centre median and another in the southbound ditch, according to a Sunday news release.

A man was pulled from the vehicle in the ditch, and both bystanders and first responders attempted CPR, but he was declared dead by emergency medical personnel.

Another man was trapped in the vehicle in the median and was also declared dead by emergency medical personnel, according to the news release.

Lumsden is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Regina.
